WebEd: Outlook for Construction Industry Priorities

Outlook for Construction Industry Priorities in Washington, D.C.
Description:
Congressional Democrats and the Biden Administration are moving quickly to advance their legislative priorities. Next up is a $2 trillion infrastructure bill that would fund the construction of transportation, K-12 public schools, drinking water/wastewater projects and more. However, a host of other initiatives involving dramatic shifts in tax, labor and climate change policy could complicate the legislative process for enacting any infrastructure investment legislation.
Join AGC of America CEO Stephen Sandherr and the association’s team of experts on infrastructure, tax, labor, and environmental policy as they share the latest on the path ahead for construction industry priorities, the wins from the previous year, and our plan for the future. Discussions will include:

The likelihood of enactment of a broad and robust infrastructure package and the possibilities for work it would bring to various construction markets—building, transportation, utility infrastructure and more;
The opportunities and challenges presented by the Administration’s positions on tax reform, climate change and labor relations, including the PRO Act;
How any legislative inaction could lead to more regulatory action; and
How construction firms are making an impact on these public policy debates with the help of the Construction Advocacy Fund.
